Chronic sadness

Is chronic sadness and depression the same thing? Dysthymia, sometimes referred to as mil chronic depression, is less severe and has fewer symptoms than major depression. What are the signs of sadness?


With dysthymia, the depression symptoms can linger for a long period of. When an event or situation triggers chronic sorrow, parents or caregivers may exhibit symptoms similar to depression including profound sadness , anger, frustration and guilt.

Dysthymia, or more recently named “persistent depressive disorder”, affects women to a greater degree and is characterized by mood swings, fatigue, and recurrent sadness. We’ve all experienced it and we all will again. Sadness is a normal human emotion.
