Very low body temperature.

Peeing less than normal. However, it may go unnoticed due to its subtlety. Blood infections can trigger many reactions in the body.

Some of them cause cellular damage in the brain and also impact neurotransmission. Blood Infection Symptoms The symptoms of blood infection may vary depending on the kind of infection you have, although some of the common symptoms include headache, low blood pressure, and nausea. Agitation on its own is not necessarily a sign of a blood infection. If sepsis occurs, your mental state can become affected.

For many people, the first symptoms of a blood infection, or sepsis, are rapid breathing and a change in mental status, such as confusion or decreased alertness, according to WebMD.

Causes of sepsis include pneumonia and urinary tract infection. This may lead to death. Find out if sepsis is contagious. People who are septic are in a state of shock.

In sepsis, blood pressure drops, resulting in shock. Major organs and body systems, including the kidneys, liver, lungs, and central nervous system may stop working properly because of poor blood flow. A change in mental status and very fast breathing may be the earliest signs of sepsis.

Sepsis ( Blood Infection ) Symptoms. If a person has sepsis, they often will have fever. Sometimes, though, the body temperature may be normal or even low.

The individual may also have chills and severe shaking. The heart may be beating very fast, and breathing may be rapid. While the main cause of blood infections is an infectious organism in the blood , these organisms can enter the bloodstream in many ways. As a result, there are several causes of blood infections.

Fungal Blood Infection: Fungemia Many fungi like Aspergillus and Saccharomyces cerevisiae can cause fungemia. But the most common fungus that can infect your blood is Candida. Some of the symptoms of low blood pressure include light-headedness, dizziness, and fainting if not enough blood is getting to the brain.

Diseases and medications can also cause low blood pressure. Common signs and symptoms include fever, increased heart rate, increased breathing rate, and confusion. There may also be symptoms related to a specific infection , such as a cough with pneumonia, or painful urination with a kidney infection.

Invasive candidiasis is an infection caused by a yeast (a type of fungus) called Candida.
