What is bipolar rapid cycling? Rapid cycling is a pattern of frequent, distinct episodes in bipolar disorder. In rapid cycling , a person with the disorder experiences four or more. An episode may consist of depression, mania, hypomania, or a condition known as a mixed state in which depression and mania are co-occurring.

Without meds and shit even with meds id go through at least episodes a month. In the many years since my initial diagnosis with bipolar disorder, type I, I have tried to understand the nature of a bipolar mixed episode.
