Well I am assuming you are talking about a situation where the parents are divorced and the kids are with the other parent. First, if someone is depressed they cannot just snap out of it. I wish it was that easy!

And if you have never been depressed yourself, you might have a hard time imagining what it feels like. Yes, you need to tell people that you are depressed if you want help with your depression.


Many people do not understand depression or they are uncomfortable with discussing this issue and because of this, they are not safe to tell.
