Hives symptoms

What could hives be a symptom of? How to alleviate hives? Do you go to dermatologist or allergist for hives? Symptoms of ordinary hives flare up suddenly and usually for no specific reason. Welts appear, often in several places.


The welts may be skin-colore pink, or re and they flare, itch, cause swelling, and go away in a matter of a few minutes to hours, only to appear elsewhere.

Some people with chronic (lasting more than six weeks) hives , see the hives go away on their own, often within a year. For many people with a chronic case, however, the hives come and go for months or years. The rashes can change size, and move from location to location within hours. Stress hives , like a typical hives rash, have been known to spread from place to place, and smaller areas of hives can blend together to create larger areas known as plaques.
