Prenatal blues

It is thought to be related to the hormone changes that occur during pregnancy and again after a baby is born. These hormonal changes may produce chemical changes in the brain that result in depression. Maintain a healthy lifestyle and eat small, regular meals. It will provide the nutrition you need during pregnancy and also make you feel better.


Research suggests that eating small amounts of dark chocolate may help ease pregnancy blues.

Chocolate contains theobromine, which may help relax your muscles and dilate the blood vessels. Perinatal depression is a term that includes both prenatal depression (during pregnancy ) and postpartum depression (in the first year following childbirth). Postpartum blues , commonly known as baby blues , is a transient postpartum mood disorder characterized by milder depressive symptoms than postpartum depression. Symptoms typically resolve within two weeks.
