Anergia depression

The definition of anergia is an abnormal lack of energy both mentally and physically. Scientifically, anergia can be a diminished or absent sensitivity to commonly used antigens. It is not an illness in its own right, but often a symptom of either depression or schizophrenia. Anergia is not an illness itself, but a symptom of other conditions.


A number of conditions can contribute to the development of anergia. People with depression commonly experience a lack of interest in activities they used to enjoy, and may have difficulty with energy levels.
