What to do when you feel depressed and alone

Do you always feel fatigued or tired when you are depressed? Whether you consistently feel depresse you’re trying to overcome the loneliness of being single or you don’t quite know why you feel lost at the moment, there are things you can do to improve the situation. Are you feeling very unhappy and lonely? You are not alone, most of us feel extremely miserable from time to time.


In the modern world feeling despondent is common and is on the rise according to some studies.

There is a difference between feeling very unhappy and clinical depression. You can always set bigger goals as you start to feel less depressed. Avoid spending long periods of time alone. Ever wonder to yourself why you feel alone even in a crowded room?


Even in the midst of family and friends, all of us can feel alone and lonely. Depression - caused by chemical imbalances of serotonin, and other important neurotranmitters which balance emotions is a serious issue. Everyone feels better with their friends about,if your friends are people you really love.

New beginnings can feel like endings. Do you remember a time when you started something new? I bet if you look back you ’ll recognize that there was an ending that happened before that new beginning.


And during that ending you might have been sad and felt alone. You feel like a burden to those around you. So the depressed stay isolated and in pain, lonely and sadness. When do I feel the most alone ?

Is there anyone I feel good spending time with? What activities do I most enjoy? Now think about some concrete ways to address your to those questions: How can you feel less alone at those lonely times?


Can you reach out to a friend? Many times I feel alone is because I am depressed or upset about a situation. I may feel people do not understand me or what I am going through.


Or sometimes I feel I am the only one going through a situation. In reality, it is the perception of the situation that makes a person feel so alone. After reading your list of things to do when you feel lonely, I realized that I’ve done them all – thinking that they were my own idea for combating loneliness. The only thing I don’t recall being mentioned is calling an old friend that you haven’t heard from for a while.


Expressing how you feel to someone also get’s it off your chest. Understanding why you feel depressed is an important step to treating and preventing depression. Sometimes, you just need to observe what is going on in your body, min and your life. Sometimes, though, it is possible for sadness to deepen, and this may be a sign that you are suffering from a form of depression. If you feel as though you are increasingly sa and feel like your sadness is difficult to explain, this information on depression may help.


Things to Say to Someone with. Find one you like and do it whenever you ’re feeling stressed or overly emotional. Practicing genuine gratitude on a daily basis has been a major source of healing in my life.
