What is the most serious form of depression? There are many different types of depression. Events in your life cause some, and chemical changes in your brain cause others. Whatever the cause, your first step is to let your doctor know how.


The worst kind of depression is the one that you personally suffer from. I’m not trying to make light of your question with this though I realize it may sound flippant.

The reason I say this is because depression is an awful condition that significantly impairs your quality of life and causes a lot of suffering for the people who live (and die) with it.
