My natural inclination is to beat myself up about it but one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned on my mental health journey is that I have to be relentlessly compassionate with myself. I bought this book for a Catholic friend suffering from depression in hope that it would help her with her struggle. She has read most of it and believes that there are some helpful strategies and information given from a faith based point of view. Is it normal to know there is this book which can hopefully help surviving depression together with my wife but that I am unsure if, at this late stage, I actually want this marriage to continue.
