What to do when your sad at night

Your favorite film can be the perfect pick-me-up. Cover yourself in soft things. Grab your softest blanket, some fuzzy socks, and your most comfortable pajamas and relish in the fuzziness. Yoga can help stretch your body as well as clear your mind.

Truth is, nighttime loneliness can affect anyone, making you feel sad or scared. Especially just after I get in my bed and shut my eyes. During the day, you can do whatever you can to keep yourself busy so that you stop yourself from over-thinking - during the night, however, the only thing you can do is think. When you close your eyes to fall asleep, the only thing you can do is think, and your mind immediately goes to over-think mode, so you start to feel depressed. Getting a good night’s sleep will really help you make the most of these. This is not going to be enjoyable but it needs to be done.


There is plenty of time to do this right at night when you are bored. Watch Spanish Soap Operas. This is better if you do not know any Spanish as enjoy the motion and the drama in it.


Run up and down your stairs. You can substitute for any language. You may not have a lot of energy if you are sad , but forcing yourself to tackle even one thing on your to- do list will actually make you feel better. You will feel productive and that brings positivity all on its own. Say “I feel sad ” Oftentimes just saying out loud that you are sad is enough to lighten your mental heaviness.

Do not give time for your mind or body to get sad. Yes, you can just get involved in washing or cleaning things. And finally, here’s my most creative tip on how to get through the night when you ’re sad and lonely: get busy sculpting! Allow yourself to grieve and heal in your own way — no matter how weird it. In my experience, one of the benefits of simplifying your life is more happiness, or time to enjoy more happiness, but it doesn’t prevent sad things from happening.


Maybe being really sad helps us fully appreciate the real sweetness of life. Don’t judge yourself for crying or feeling down. Take time to be sad , and then get back to the. Get sleep, eat good foods, read a book or spend a night watching your favorite movie.


Talk to the people around you. Hug your dog even though he doesn’t like it (guilty). There is no shame in doing what you need to be healthy, no disgrace in needing to keep yourself above water.
