Everyone feels sad sometimes. In many cases, sadness is a normal human reaction to different life changes and events. The good news is that everyone also has the capacity to feel happiness and that there.

You have to focus your energy specifically on trying not to cry, which means that you are forced to dwell on the way you feel for longer, which only serves to increase stress and anxiety. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. But although it feels absolutely horrible, it can actually be good for us to feel sad occasionally.

You may need to talk to a frien have time to yourself or to work through your feelings and accept them. Wear it out once or twice with pride. Feel silly once in awhile.


Go out for happy hour with a friend you haven’t seen much of lately. Reconnect with an old college frien or invite someone you want to get to know better out for a walk or a drink. It can be difficult to bring up problems about the relationship, but if you feel comfortable, it can be a great way to figure out why you are sad.


When you feel sad and low, your friends are the best way to shake it off. Many of us feel empty in different ways.
