How to diagnose bipolar type II disorder? What is bipolar Level 2? All forms of bipolar disorder cause unusual mood shifts and changes in energy and activity levels. Patients with bipolar disorder have feelings that reach abnormal high or abnormal low. Cyclothymic Disorder or Cyclothymia is a chronically unstable mood state in which people experience hypomania and mild depression for at least two years.

A friend who shares my bipolar II diagnosis said something recently that really resonated with me.
